GREAT BELT BRIDGE
Norock supplied the ballast material main pilars for the 18 km long Great Belt bridge.
It consists of two bridges and a tunnel, and with a main span of 1,624 metres, the East Bridge was designed to have the longest suspension span in the world.
The bridge connects the eastern and western parts of Denmark.
THE ØRESUND BRIDGE
Norock also supplied ballast material to the Oresund Bridge. It is a combined railway and motorway bridge across the Øresund strait between Denmark and Sweden. It is the longest in Europe with both roadway and railway combined in a single structure, running nearly 8 kilometres (5 miles) from the Swedish coast to the artificial island Peberholm in the middle of the strait.
